I am a 33 year old female and have been suffering from Acid reflux from a year, but from last 1 month its getting worse. The occurrence is every 3-4 days inspite of paying attention to diet and timings.
The symptoms I get during reflux is sleeplessness, too much acid which I have to forcefully throw after having water which gives me temporary relief. Also, I am irritated during the reflux, have sore taste in mouth, at times sore throat and snuffling nose. My health and energy are going down because of this.
Any suggestions?

See a medical professional.

This article may help, but see a doctor anyway as the problem could be a symptom of something else.

Also, do you eat spicy foods? Do you wash your food down with water? Do you drink a lot of coffee or tea?

jim - I rather suspect we will see some spam for gerd meds in this space soon, but taking off my cynic's hat for a moment, the only thing that cured my severe GERD was surgery. Nissen fundoplication. See a gastroenterologist.
