My doctor, an osteopath, asked me to stop doing yoga. He told me that it seems yoga is harmful to the human body. For I know almost all the yoga instructors in my working place have visited him. I didn't do any mysore practice since last month. The primary series is easy enough for me. But I felt sore everywhere after that. What is the solution?

What's the question? Seriously, I don't know. Listen to the doctor? Is he right or wrong? Why am I sore?

Listen to your doctor, listen to your body. If you feel sore everywhere after your yoga practice then must be something wrong. You can also try some other gentle style and see what happens with you. I wish you all the best…

it is ultimately up to you to decide which practices are right for you.
if you feel ashtanga yoga practice is too harmful then there are a number of other practices that are effective but could leave you less sore.
...
how is your alignment?

If you feel sore everywhere in your muscles, then no worries. If your joints and ligaments hurt, then something is wrong; it could be incorrect breathing, bad alignment, not enough or too much flexibility and not enough supporting strength - or too intense a practice -- and so on.

Sore muscles should pass in a day or two, but lasting pain in your joints or in your spine is a bad sign.

If you are flexible enough, then you may want to focus more on building strength, and possibly make really sure to get enough rest (and nutrition) between every practice.
