Can someone recommend a good book to learn about chakras. I have done some research but would like to get a little deeper in the subject. Most of the books I have found are more like workbooks and for now I just want to learn about the chakras. Thanks, Ash

Hi AshSory,

I would personally recommend 'Kundalini Tantra' by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, a Bihar School of Yoga publication. The exercises contained in the first half of the book(chakra purification) could be learned by a beginner(over eight months they suggest, sequentially) but it's probably not aimed at that kind of readership. It's a practical textbook with practical techniques but it also packs quite a bit of information on the chakras if that is what you're interested in.It is aimed at the long-term yoga practitioner with some experience but it's also an informative book;the last third contains current scientific research relating to chakras, kundalini etc. There are separate chapters at the start discoursing on each of the chakras.

Hope this helps.

Best Life Media has a few good options by (the often controversial) Ilchi Lee.
