disc fusions

Subject: disc fusions


i have three fusions between L 1 thru 4 is it safe to do this style of yoga?

It is probably safe, but this is a question for your doctor not an internet yoga forum. Without knowing all the medical details or anything else about you, it would be impossible to give you a good answer. Many people practice all styles of yoga after spinal fusions, but that does not mean that it would be appropriate for you personally. Yoga teachers and yoga practitioners are not qualified to give medical advice. Doctors are. Ask yours.

Had already taken one class and experienced numbness and pain in lower back and leg. will be taking your advice and contacting my dr.

Joyce, even if you can't do Bikram, talk to your doctor about other types of yoga too. You never know what might work for you!
