THere is a guy in the studio I go to who just completed his 500th class in 400 days. He concluded it by having a benefit for burn victims. He did every class that day (7).

Wow.

I'm shooting for at least 365 in 365. I'm up to 276 classes in 278 days so far. I started getting funny looks from the instructors after 200 days.

There's a dude named Joe on facebook who's doing a crazy yoga challenge to raise money for the Lupus Foundation for a friend of his.

He's doing 730 classes in 365 days.

Crazy people. But impressive! I think he's gonna be in my teacher training... which will be, like, a break for him. He'll have to take extra classes on the weekends to keep up with his own challenge!

He was doin' doubles and triples in there?! I should have known. That's gonna make a good book. I'm looking forward to seeing him at the champs in LA this weekend! I'll be on the volunteer staff, so I'll make double sure that no one's cell phone goes off when he's doing standing bow this time...

people are rude. i can't believe they would keep their cell phones on during a competition like that.

it was one person. it was a mistake. (it was one of the judges... oops... they must have been super embarrassed!)

in general, the audiences at these things are INCREDIBLY well-behaved. hours on end of watching people do the same postures over and over, and it's so quiet in the room, you'd notice if a mouse sneezed in the hallway. last year i was very impressed.

My DD had her phone ring in the middle of a school exam. Of course, there is a no phone rule so she tried to ignore it. Finally the teacher told her to check her phone and she discovered it was an alarm she had set herself to remind her that she had an exam.
