Hi,

Can someone point out the differences between Bikram and this video?

Thanks,
Erik

Haven't seen it either. Maybe Brian will swing by the boards this week and answer your question. He was trained by Tony Sanchez, so he is the got-to guy for all things yoga challenge! My understanding is that it's pretty similar, with a couple additional postures and a couple sequencing changes...

Lol! You know me too well DancingJ!

There are a couple of differences.

First is sequence. The series order is slightly different.
Next is that only a couple of the poses are done twice, those that are done in 1 set are held slightly longer.
The Yoga Challenge 1 is also 60 minutes rather then 90
There are also more poses the in Bikram yoga, I believe there are 40 in total.
There is no Fixed firm or toe stand.
Tony added a set of static abdominal exercises.
The series can also be modified to accommodate injury or pregnancy.
The heat is also less, when I trained with him his room was between 80-85 degrees. I am not sure, but now I believe now that he is Mexico he is not advocating the use of heat. But don't quote me on that.

It is important to note that the Yoga challenge 1 is meant to lead people toward the more advance yoga challenges.

Hope this helps.
