Subject: hard of hearing

Hi everyone...I just took my dad to his first bikram class, but he has bad tinnitus and had a hard time hearing the instructions. my dad has a slipped disc in his lower back and came out of the class in pain. he said he couldn't hear anything so he just tried to do what people did around him. do you all have any suggestions? i'm sure if he was closer to the speaker it may have been slightly better, but his hearing is BAD...and he doesn't wear his hearing aid in the room because he doesn't want to ruin it with his sweat. and i did mention to the teacher that he can't hear very well and she just suggested he put his mat near the speaker...

thanks,
amy

Amy, did you get to read all of your replies before they were mysteriously deleted, or should we all come back and repeat ourselves? Want to make sure you got some of the suggestions that you came here for!

Well, i dont think the hearing is really the issue. What I'd like to know is, why did you bring someone with a herniated disk to a Bikram Class? That's insane!

He wont need to hear, when he's on the table getting a discectomy, if you keep taking him to Bikram!
