We competed complete with gown and false eyelashes this weekend and did NOT come last! Hurray! In fact, one judge put us 2nd out of four in our best dance. Mr. Tourist's tux has arrived so in a couple of weeks you'll get the full picture. Hope the photo works.

awesome! competing looks wild. i think the costuming, in general, is very theatrical.

Theatrical is a nice word for it. At our level it is pretty tame, but I always say ballroom costuming starts with over-the-top and goes above and beyond from there!

right. the hair and make up are extreme! i could go for mosst of the clothes, but the hair and make up is often way too much for me.

i think it's cool that you are competing.
