Subject: Is this Common During Meditation?

Hello. Thank you for this message board.

I'm new here, and new to meditation. A few days ago I listened to a meditation (it was Total Body Relaxation II) just before I fell asleep. Part of the way through the meditation I started to feel like I was having an out of body experience. My body was so deeply relaxed that I could feel energy rushing through it... then I felt like I was lifting up, and could eventually look down at my own body.

This continued into a deep sleep, where I continued to have lucid dreams that were extremely vivid. I remembered a lot of them when I awoke the next morning.

The next day I felt very awake, like I've never felt before. To be honest, it kind of freaked me out. I was so aware of people's energies that I felt overly sensitive to them. It was like I could see and feel TOO much.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
