Subject: The ashtanga yoga research institute

Will anyone who has been to Mysore tell a bit about it? What was it like, how was your day, where did you live, how long did you stay etc.?

I am thinking about going there in February and March. Does two months sounds like a reasonable time? I see they recommand 3 months the first time, but I suspect my family won't be too thrilled about that...

Anyone else going around then?

I have only been there once and will do my best to answer some of your questions. I was there for 7 weeks as 3 months wasn't practical for me either. I went Jan- Feb last year so similar time, it is busy at that time of year. I rented an apartment which is what most people do. Many people rent out apartments or rooms to yoga students. I loved my time there and would love to go back and will do as soon as I can. Feel free to ask questions, I'll do my best to answer.
