This the quilt that bstqltmkr made for me. I am thinking whether I am worth using it as a quilt or whether I should just frame it and keep it on the wall of my Yoga Room in India.

I'm not sure what the deal is, but this image isn't coming up for me. What's the file format?

I can't see the picture either, but I do know that Neel left for India yesterday, and took his quilt with him, and I'm thrilled about it. I was hoping one of the computer wizards here had the magic key to unlock the image, but GreenJello can't see it either, so he dashed those hopes.

Hi Zoe, could you see the picture? Haha, was the skill exposed as promised?

Hi Neel, not sure when you'll be on to read again, thanks for taking the time to post about your quilt here before you left, I know I got it to you at the last minute, and I appreciate it. And seeing that my quilts are made for humans, you are most worthy, enjoy your quilt, and please use it. You inspired it, Shelly

Flattery will get you everywhere. My gf, who's also a huge quilter is very seriously impressed.

That's beautiful!! My mother in law is a quilter as well. I'm always blown away by the skill involved! Just choosing all the fabrics would make my brain explode!!

I bow down to that skill and artistry. Sewing is a humbling pursuit. Even expert sewers make mistakes on a regular basis and, as one of my online sewing friends says of having to rip out seams multiple times "as ye sew, so shall ye rip." I go back to my sewing machine inspired - thanks Shelly!

I love that picture. Wow, look how happy Neel and his friends are! I love it. Thank you GreenJello for unveiling the mystery.

Thanks to everyone for saying such nice things, It's great when I can enjoy the process of making something so much, and then the end product makes people happy. I can only thank my ancestors for the combination of DNA which gave me these hands and these eyes, and also thanks to Neel who inspired me. It's not everyday that I get someone requesting that I make a quilt however I think is best. I would wonder about fabric choices and see the image of Neel in a ceremony with flowers all around him, and I would add more color. It was great fun to work on, I really enjoyed it, Shelly

Your creation is so beautiful!  I can understand Neel's dilemna on how best to use and honor the quilt.  Maybe hang it most of the time as display and seasonally bring it down for extra warmth in colder months?

Thanks Jennifer, I'm feeling pretty confident now, I've been working on our spring wardrobes, and I made a shirt even my teenage daughter likes to wear! I have to be confident, because now I'm trying to make my other daughter a bathing suit. She's modest, and hates to shop so it's fallen on my shoulders.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

I've done quilting myself and my fingers ache just looking at it :-)

Those colours will certainly banish any winter blues for sure.

Thanks Fee, but that aching your fingers feel is their wish to get back at it! C'mon quilt with me.
