Just to let you all know that I'm off on my holidays again from 14/03 to 04/04 (I don't have 'net access at home). I'm in Dahab 16/03 - 27/03 on a yoga retreat :-)

Absolutely to both!

I'm going to have to sort out NC after I get back as the travelling is not straight forward. So far I have Gatwick to Atlanta, Cyndi offering to drive me to Lexington, Zel taking me to ..... ****, I can't remember the name of the town..... for a trip out, but still need to work out how get back to Atlanta for the trip home. Hey..... you two aren't trying to abduct me are you? My Canadian cat-pal, Cevie also wants to hook up and plans to catch a flight down to Atlanta.

Alternatively, I have to overshoot Lexington and travel to Chicago and switch to an internal flight to Greensborough but I beleive the internal flight is a ghastly little thing which would probably make my perennial luggage issues worse? This gal don't travel light .

I don't know if there are flight connections Atlanta - Greensborough or a train?

An alternative trip this Autumn might be Heathrow - New York with Cevie sharing a suite with me so that anyone else wanting to hook up meeting us there. Cevie and I have never 'done' NY so other cat-pals would be on tour-guide duty :-). I have yet another cat-pal, Sandy who lives in Philly who would meet us in NY and who's offered to have me at her home for part of the trip.

It's wonderful to be so liked and so popular, but I have to say that there's just not enough time, money or annual leave entitlement for me do see/do everything on my list......

I want to do a 'grand tour' of the Italian cities, Prague, Morocco and Marakesh to name but a few!

One of the mods, Zel, I met when she still lived in Alpine, CA. She and her hubby are now in Lexington NC which, by US measures, is next door to Cyndi. She has evolved into one of my best friends over time.

One of the really great things about this cat group is that everyone's so hospitable and friendly. I have several long-term pen-pals in the US and Canada from it and some sporadic correspondence with folk in Australia, Holland, Italy...

When Zel moved, it turned into the great American road trip as every Korat owner en route asked them to stop over for a couple of days, cats and all (they went by road to avoid traumatising their cats).

Shelly, you'll just have to pop over for a holiday instead :-)

ah, there was a riot when i was in nairobi back when. it was no problem.

literally, the power had gone out, and my friends and i walked from one restaurant to another--it was pitch black and noisy--and we just walked quickly and got there.

next day, we noticed that the place was a wreck, and were told that there was a riot going on while we walked to the restaurant.

no problem!

Don't worry Fee, just get your butt here, we'll make sure you catch all your flights. I told you I'd be there for you.

I have an SUV, we can take a scenic trip back to ATL through the mountains for something fun if ya like.

Now that sounds interesting...I would to tag along on the Italian cities...4-sure! Can we plan that trip for next year...we'll need lots of dough, that Euro about killed my finances...I'm still recovering from it,

GJ, It's ok as I won't be going anywhere near Cairo this trip. I'm flying into Sharm el Sheikh and being picked up by the hotel's designated Beduoin driver and taken to Dahab on the Sinai peninsula, adjacent to the Red Sea. This is my annual yoga retreat with 3.5 hours of practise a day. The second week sees the morning yoga swopped for en-wave which seems to be a French twist on Tai Chi / Ching Quong type practise.

Himself is suppsed to be staying with me at the hotel but only if he has the Orfi contract sorted out ahead of time this trip!

Cyndi, we'll start to plan things out when I get back and I'll send you my contact details in a minute via e-mail. Start saving those pennies girl, as your next trip might be for a wedding in Cairo *ggg*

Shelly, it's time we beat the homebody yank out of you and dragged you into a plane over here :-)
