The orange near the center of the first one is a fish.

Those are cool photos. Is that your pond, or is it a natural pond??

It's very nice Karmann.

I too have a very small tiny pond in my little zen garden. It's mainly so the bees can have water close to them. It's fun to watch them gather water. I also have a couple of lily and lotus plants. They're so cool when they produce flowers. Alot of people hate these plants...but, I really like the water hyacinth's...I put them in so the bees won't drown and they have nice purple flowers. Boy, when the first frost hits, I have to get them out..otherwise they become mush. They go to the compost pile.

Take care,

I should post some photos of the flowers here. It is essentially spring, though we could have a cold snap or two yet. We have snowdrops and some daffodils up and the ornamental cherry trees are starting to blossom. The birds are chirping away at first light. bstqltmkr would hate it.

Hi Karmann, your pond actually reminded me of a pond that was in our back yard growing up. We used to shovel it and skate on it. I think it was the cattails that reminded me, we had no orange fishies.

Hi Tourist, you have me all wrong there. I'm not a hater. Let the birds sing, I love them too. Shelly

karmann - I am on the west coast of BC, sometimes known as the "wet" coast or banana belt.

Wait a minute, Tourist, are you saying you're having spring, and the birds are singing? I'm a little slow, and I think I caught on yesterday! I do hate that, and I'm going to try out my newest swear words- Emily ****inson! What are those crazy birds thinking, they need to get back to at least Hollywood for a couple more weeks!

Yes, it is indeed spring here and the birds are singing. I live near a very large daffodil farm and they are picking now. Some people have started mowing their lawns, but they are sicko ex-Easterners who still think it is a novelty to mow in November and February.
