Good luck with the hair, don't do anything drastic. Like I did. Haha, I knew I was close when I weighed in the same two doctor's visits in a row. That only happened once.

Expert Yogi Posts: 1738 Location: right where I'm supposed to be | joscmt - 2008-01-08 8:02 PM Oh yeah, and Mish, I did get that hair appt for tomorrow! My stylist, who is usually booked, had an appt open up for tomorrow!! What are you doing with your hair? Post a pic of your hair and cute belly!

Probably nothing as drastic as I want- simply because I'm swollen up like a balloon! Might not be the best state to go and change everything. So probably just clean up the hair that I have- take a couple of inches off the bottom. I don't know when I'll get back to him- but it's really just too long right now. I'll see if I can get someone to take a pic! I want to see yours as well!!

I think your cutter did a great job on your hair. Looks like some weight was taken out so that should make it easier to manage. Hope things get moving soon and you don't have to be induced. Fee

Expert Yogi Posts: 1738 Location: right where I'm supposed to be | Hey ML, do you have that natural wave or did they blow it out that way? Also what products does everyone use here? I need a relaxing shampoo, a good conditioner and some good shine (I use biosilk right now) straightener. Any suggestions??? They did a beautiful job layering the back. It looks really nice and healthy.
| |||
i have natural curl. i'm using burt's bees all natural shampoo and conditioner (grape fruit and sugar beet). sometimes, i make a leave-in conditioner of chamomile tea, coconut oil, and lemon juice (also lightens blondes naturally when in sunlight).

well, folks, today MAY be the day! I've been having regular contractions since about 6:30 this morning... definitely of a different nature than I had been having. They've been everywhere from 10 min apart to 2 min apart! Right now, we are settled in at around 5 or so minutes....... I'm off to the doc's at 1:45 (their office is at the hospital)... I guess they will help determine if it's a false start or if it's the real deal... So, let's hope it's the real deal so I can avoid all those induction meds!!

Vaya con Dios kiddo! | |||

fingers crossed for you both! have a great birth!

Well, not exactly labor- not exactly a false alarm.. Basically, we are in the SUPER beginning stages of labor. Doc said it could be 1 day, 2 days OR it could stop altogether and I'd be induced on Tuesday....so we'll see. The good news is that she has turned! And that things are starting to change down there.. So that's all good news. And at least I finished packing my bag! but the contractions are still pretty uncomfortable though.. we'll just have to wait and see!

Jos honey, I think we're all right there in that delivery suite with you girl! Thanks for sharing your experience. As someone who can't have children (congenital malformation of the womb), this is a very special thread to me. Fee

Hey Fee- Thanks for your message! Unfortunately, I'm home.. I've just been having regular contractions since 6:30 yesterday morning... I'm now just tired and cranky.. I'm hoping these either stop altogether or pick up and turn into real labor!

Expert Yogi Posts: 8442 | Rest as much as you possibly can! I know it is nearly impossible what with contractions and excitement and nervous energy, but you need to store up some rest so you'll be raring to go when the time comes. I wish I had internet at work! I want to keep checking this thread all day!!!!! Very exciting
| |||
sounds good that you're at the beginning stages of labor. rest, nourishing foods, and nipple stimulation are good ideas. i'm so glad that she's turned and engaging. very nice! should be soon! also, doing hip circles either standing or on an exercise ball helps with contractions. helps them feel good and helps them work.
