Yes. For Dementia, following things shall help. But, they have to be learnt properly, accepted and most importantly practiced:

- a very good diet

- a very good rest

- a proper exercise routine

- a personally taught Meditation from an experienced teacher

For a person with Dementia, only private instruction should be used.

rae - I have heard recently that the western science folk are finding that the arts are very helpful for dementia. Dance, singing, drawing and painting etc. are being used both as therapy and prevention. The primary area of study right now is Alzheimer's but I am sure it applies to various other forms of dementia, as well. Yoga asana would no doubt stimulate similar areas in the brain to those activated in dance, perhaps. Are you inquiring for a family member?
