Interesting idea. I think the big question would be finding people willing to donate their pet's blood. I think the local blood banks have enough issues with getting human donors, pet donors would probably be more challenging.

when october j was younger (under 8 ) he was on the list to be a blood donor for the local clinic for rabbits.

if they had a rabbit that needed blood, they'd call us and we would donate. we never had to, but we were on the list!

but, more often than not, vets use those man-made slurries in the animals--what jehova's witnesses use because they don't use blood products. works well, i've heard.

Zoe, you don't have any photos do you? I love bunnies!

A few years ago we had a rabbit show in Peoria; 42,000 rabbits on display! Some were giant, some were almost hamster sized, and there were a few hares as well.

I was in heaven!!!!!!!!

No, I don't have a pet, but around here, the wild rabbits are as common as the squirrels.

i checked and october j is still on the first page of the blog, about 1/2 way down or so now.
