Obviously, there is a mattress, bumper, sheets, etc... they just aren't on there yet- I don't want my cat taking up residence in the cradle. So we are leaving the stuff out for now.

Thanks, Steve! My father-in-law doesn't really talk all that much.. so it was fun to hear the story of this cradle and to hear how happy he was to pass it on to another generation!

He literally made this from scratch- some guy he knew had some walnut trees he wanted to get rid of.. so my FIL (who was in the logging industry at the time).. cleared the trees, took them to a mill to have the wood milled, THEN made the cradle out of the wood he had cleared. He said he still has some of that old walnut wood. Cool, no?
