Subject: Idle Meditation

As you know you have to shut down your mental activity while doing meditation. But figuring out how to do so may take a long time. When you try to shut down your thoughts you are actually working a part of you that provides you to be idle. So next time try to work that idle part of you rather than shut down your mental activity.

I am not sure I understand. Could you explain this a bit further?

Your brain is seperated to many parts, one of which makes you think consistently, and one other which makes you stay idle and halt your mental activity. So you have to work that part of your brain to stop your thoughts.

this is the way I personally look at it. My mind is like a hurricane swirling around at a fast rate, when I can step into the eye of the hurricane, all is calm. If I step out of the eye wall I must be careful I can be destroyed.
just my thoughts,
