I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I have a question about this pendant that I have. When I ordered it from the bead shop it said "Om Symbol", but when I received it, it looks quite different from the common Om symbol that I have seen. I have included a photo the charm that I found online (this was not the company I ordered from though, but the same charm), and then one of the Om symbol that I'm most familiar with.

I have looked through a couple websites and a couple books, but I haven't found a description of this symbol or anything.
Does anyone know the origin of this "Om" symbol or does it mean something different entirely? Or maybe it's just an imperfection in the manufacturing? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

| I suggest: Decide if you want an OM symbol or not. If you want OM symbol only, then return that pendant. It has an OM like symbol which is an artistic variation. If you want art, then go for it.
It should be quite easy to get OM symbol necklace or even made to your custom order.

| Yes, I have another OM charm that is the OM symbol that I'm familiar with. I really like the style of this one (the symbol within the larger border), but I do wish it were the traditional OM symbol.
I was just wondering if this was another symbol I wasn't familiar with. |

| Thanks, but I don't have that specific necklace, I just bought the charm. I have SOOO many beads, I don't know what to do with them, so I'm going to make a necklace or two to get rid of them! |
