How do you pronounce cicada is it chicada? Its gonna be my new nickname for my lttle un as he is so small and yet so noisy (dont know were he gets it from? )

hows the weather in blighty any sign of switching that air con on yet? or is it still central heating?

Kinda middling. Neither warm nor cold and with a touch too much humidity. Leastways here in Reading. It's also music festival long weekend so there's a fair number of maloderous festivallers to contend with

Hey Raquel,

Cicada is pronounced - Sick-ah-dah

The weather cooled off yesterday because we had a looong over due RAIN. It even rained ice. Shiva was very happy!

BTW, I know now who I am NOT going to invite to my Yoga-Camping Retreat, Ya'll can rent one of those big machines on wheels....and stay with the RV people though,

*LOL* I can hear it from the comfort of my own back garden, Raquel :-)

In my teens, I had a pal who's family had a home in Caversham Heights on the other side of the river from where the festival used to be held. They had a mooring point that was right on the water's edge. It was perfectly positioned to enable a good view of the stage without having to pay ££££££s for a ticket :-)

Sorry Cyndi, I don't *do* caravans either *shudders at memory of one such childhood experience of being incarcerated in one on the south coast during a week of continual rain and relatives*

i pronounce it "sick Ay duh" but that it could be exactly how cyndi's pronouncing it anyway. i like them bugs.
