Ok - you know I am making a wedding dress and have been rambling around looking for forums about sewing so I could get some good tips. Whilst I was rambling, I found these crazy directions for making a dressmaker's body double out of duct tape! Sadly, I don't have time to make one of my daughter, which would have been hugely helpful, but I do sew a bit for myself, so I figured we should give it a whirl. It is VERY cool! I was especially thinking about marylisa and making a belly mold These can be used for making clothes or for making scarecrows or fun figures for decorating etc. Somewhere I read that the costumers for Lord of the Rings used these a lot. I'll post a photo of mine if anyone wants to see her:-)

i met some of the people who worked on constumes, sets, and what not in NZ. cool me.

i'm checking these out. i don't think i'll make one, but that's really cool.

well, i think it would be an interesting way to make a belly mold.

Yeah, I'd like to see it, I'm envisioning all the beautiful ballroom dancing gowns your going to be whipping up now! Like the ones with those hems that have all the attached feathers.

OK - here she is. I call her Mitzi, after a little dog we used to have and the dance instructor in Shall We Dance? (US version)
Darn! Can't get it to load. Hang on....

OK - I am guessing the photo size is too large. anyone willing to give a short tutorial on compressing a photo? I have done it, but not for a long time
