| They are also finding that dogs can "smell" cancer in people and can be trained to do it very accurately. Of course, with the western mindset, they promptly started trying to invent a machine that can do the same job |

| *LOL* I read that one earlier. There are some amazing stories about cats under the Beeb's news section, including one who was returned to its owner 10 years after it first went missing.
We have a charity in this country training dogs to diagnose cancers. Apparently they can distinguish between different types that are so closely related that it currently takes several weeks of LAB tests to confirm.

| I think this is great. I have always thought my pointer would be a good medical sniffer.. just don't know how to get him trained in that way. He loves to sniff breath.. and will sniff longer depending on what is going on. If we are sick, longer sniff... if all is well, shorter sniff. Heck, with my missed miscarriage last year, he was very into my breath.. he wouldn't leave me alone. I think he knew something I didn't. Then, my kitchen manager, who is from Honduras, told me that a change in a woman's breath is one of the ways they know about pregnancy, miscarriage, etc... interesting, no? |

Location: London, England | Hi there,
Even ants are amazing-these termite mounds are all aligned north to south:

Apparently they do it so that the mounds do not get too hot in the day

| Ants are nuts! Their social systems are almost more complicate than the messes we humans get ourselves into! |
