hi chase - chris saudek has an illustrated book. Go to:
http://www.yogalacrosse.com/merchandise.htm

It doesn't have everything but it has enought ot get you going. Once you haved worked on the ropes a bit you can get creative

it's all in my head Chase.
I haven't seen a book. I wonder if Brian out in Cali is producing something to go with the great wall rope system he's got on the web?

Anything in particular you're looking for? If you were more specific I might toss something out.
I'll look at Gelnda's suggestion too.

Seems that a lot of asanas can be worked at the wall in Iyengar yoga. These would include obvious things, like headstand or full arm balance, and one-legged standing poses with the lifted foot on the wall (think utthita hasta padasana and cousins), and less obvious things like urdhva dhanurasana or viparita dandasana or kapotasana or ... it just goes on.

The wall is an endless source of amusement!

I like to thing of the wall as the second most important prop in Iyengar yoga.

What is your favorite wall pose?

As Mr. Iyengar himself said, "the wall is my Guru".

Dog pose with hands at the wall, standing poses with the outside edge of the foot at the wall, ardha chandrasana with the whole back body on the wall. The list is endless

Crazy dog (or half handstand). For someone who still can't do a freestanding inversion, I'd also be lost without a wall to walk up when doing a shoulder stand.

I guess that I really like the wall for Urdhva Dhanurasana.  That somehow unpacked a bunch of stuff about the upper back for me, along with Kapotasana with belted legs.  I'm not really a prop person, but when props work the really work.  I'm currently really into putting an upright block between my shoulderblades for Supta Virasana -- great upper back/chest opener.
