| Hi All,
I'm new to meditation and have started reading up on it. I went to a buddhist place, not a temple to meditate with a group. The first time I went, I could not concentrate and it was physically challenging due to the posture, etc... I 2nd time, I was able to concentrate. What's weird is the people around me. They seem to have a lot of body movements, shaking and even making faces. I'm not sure if they are possessed by evil spirts or not. Like I said, I'm new to meditation and would like an explanation from someone that knows. Also, I felt my body moving the 2nd time I went and it wasn't me that was controlling the movement.
Thanks in advance. |

Location: Somewhere in the Mountains of Western NC | Try meditation without the group and in a quiet place at home. When I truly want to meditate, I always pick a dark black closet, some place that is totally safe and secure, with a light blanket as well. All those movements and groups of people can be quite distracting and frankly, half of that stuff is phony nonsense anyway. |
