| I had the most wonderful class last night. We spent the better part of an hour and a half upside down. Head stand, hand stand, shoulder stand. I felt so strong through the whole class and more importantly relaxed. By then end of class I was all smiles and felt like I could fly.
Strangely enough I ended up running to the bathroom all night and all morning and then found I had lost three or four pounds.
I feel great today. This is a new and exciting experience for me...... |

| You lost 3 to 4 lbs in one night after one Inversion Class? You must post this on the Weight Loss Thread!!!
Congratulations!

| I remember when I wrestled
fellas would do hand and headstand to make weight at weigh in
it was very weird, because they'd be naked and all of a sudden
bottoms up
I don't miss weigh ins at all. |

| Sounds like fun and sounds like you must have activated a couple of sluggish kidneys! |

| It was pretty amazing and I have been feeling better than ever since that class. I am certainly doing more inverted poses. I have never heard of such a result. This experience has definately strengthened my faith in my practice. |

| Dear Phoenix: This is called a turning point. What happens is: You were ready for such an action or such a pose or such an activity. And, you got an instruction which provided as a catalyst to take to it. Actually, it was you who were ready for it, and instruction provided an event. That does not mean all students shall get the same result. However, a good instructor can take each student from where they are to a higher level. And, that skill, as far as Asana is concerned, is definitely present in Iyengar System. |
