Subject: student with fibromyalgia

I am teaching a private lesson in a couple of days to a student who was diagnosed with fibromyalgia some years ago. I have been doing research about the condition and it seem that a sequence of supportive poses focusing on chest opening, for depression would be smart. I don't want the practice to be too strenuous as to increase any muscle pain or fatigue. Does anyone have experience teaching students with this condition? or Have any experience with the condition themselves?

Hi aaron - no, I don't have any fibro students but I think planning a restorative session is a great idea. You might also want to read all of the stuff Miss Mewer says in the Bikram thread .
