Subject: belly ache

Hi,
my stomach has been hurting for a few days now. No matter what I eat, my stomach starts to hurt, it gets really bloated and sometimes, really bad heartburn.
I thought a juice and fruit fast would detox my body and make me feel better, but since I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia I am afraid to do that. Can I still fast or just eat fruits?
I am a pretty healthy eater, although I have been eating way too much Granola and cereal, as comfort foods, since I am going through a huge healing process, both physically and spiritually.
I shouldn't eat it so much, but I don't know how to not eat it!
Would catnip tea help my belly? Ginger usually makes me feel worse.
I would really appreciate your advise.
Sincerely
Alessandra

Dear Alessandra:

1. Stop all eating including healthy, unhealthy, liquid, solid, except pure water and air.

2. Find immediately a Fasting or Health Retreat, which is good.

3. And, go there and do a supervised Fast.

4. And, later do not take up bad habits, I mean do not screw up later.

Best Luck

oh darling...why do you think your stomache hurts?

Hard to answer your question because belly pain could be so much or not so much a sign of illness or it could simply be a sign of emotional/ spiritiual disrepair.

Eating small meals, take what feels good and healthy and eliminate those that don't.

Drink warm healing teas, soups,.....you know what to eat. Maybe the granola is not the best thing.

And ask yourself what you need to heal.

Alessandra - when my stomach is bothering me I reduce my food intake and go to very soft, even watery foods such as soups made with lots of good veggies. Pureed in the blender is best. A very small amount of starch such as some noodles in a clear soup or a cracker or two. Fruits etc. will make heartburn worse. This I know for sure. So how much help do you have dealing with your various problems? counselors, friends, family?

I'd second the visit to the doctor given how many days you've been hurting. If it's mainly acid, it may be that the 'good' bugs have been outnumbered by the 'bad' ones. Try eating some live yogurt or a bio-active drink. This seems to work for me, perhaps it'll help you.

Regards,

Fiona
