I just want to thank the folks on here who recommended Power Pilates. My dvd's arrived in today's mail, and I just LOVE them! Love the style, love the teachers, production values, etc. The basic 34-minute post-natal program flew by like it was 10 seconds long, and right now I feel like a ballet dancer!

I never even would have heard of this program if not for these boards. I'm so pleased, thank you all!

Dear Jean:
A question: What does Power in Power Pilates stand for?

Thanks in Advance

To be honest, I think it's just their "brand name", like Stott Pilates, Peak Pilates, or The Method. I don't know for sure, though, one of the folks that has more experience with them should answer that.

Power pilates is like a brand name if you like, but they lean towards the classical pilates method.

Right, I think Neel was asking if they're more "Power"ful than other Pilates in some way. I don't think so, though I'm definitely drawn to the classical style. And I'm hoping the "Power" in the name will draw in more students once I get certified!
