..... and another humble iyengar student. Sorry, Babsi, this section of the board is so dead sometimes that I don't bother to look here very often. Iyengar is one of the most beloved forms of yoga, I guess 90% of beginners are starting their yoga life with some iyengar classes. Nevertheless nobody wants to write something in this forum.

Try it like this:

Ee-yen-gar (the last A like the last A in Alabama). That may not go down easy for english tongues but that's what I heard is kinda right. Real indians would probably laugh their arses off though

Mostly cajun here, hell people where I work now laugh at me. Live in Kansas City now everytime I say something they just grin. (reason they jealous)

I don't know enough about the different slangs in USA but Cajun sounds like you're speaking with a french accent, innit?
