i think that having a little pudge around the waist is always nice. it gives us women nice figures! but crunches work nicely for me

Careful on side bends/ side "crunches". These actually build up muscle, which can make you look larger, not smaller.

Hy pretti
What is your postural shape and/ or habit. I suspect you may be lordotic or apple shape? If your lordotic you will need to work on the ab series, roll backs, cat and cow and lunges. If your apple shape the waist line will be the last place to get lean.

How often do you practice and is it mat you practice or reformer?

Hi, Pretti, I agree with raquel. Although I am not an expert at pilate, I have practiced it for several years. Above all, I am an apple and the adbs are the hardest part for me to reduce I have been told it is partly genetic and partly because you need to work the deepest abd muscles of the core--the hardest part to get to--correct me if I am wrong ,raquel.

The good news bad news is, for me ,that it is the first place I tend to put on weight. Because I never get on a scale the bulge tells me I need to cut back my calories for a while.

Perhaps you might try cutting your calories for a while and at the same time emphasize the workouts raquel suggested. The combination may work surprising fast--it does for me
