| Although it was not in the yogic spirit, I overdid the drinking last night and awoke feeling moderately hungover. I decided to brave my 9AM ashtanga class anyway in an effort to thwart off the malaise. I found class very helpful and focusing, although my practise itself was not quite up to par. Still I can't really tell if class helped or not, I feel like it did but I may be trying to attribute yoga as a miracle cure for yet another ailment. Any experiences to share? |

| Its quite possible that the ashtanga class was helpful, especially as the primary series of Ashtanga is known as "yoga chikitsa" or "yoga therapy" and is designed to cleanse and remove toxins from the body! (Fortunately or not, I cannot definitely speak from experience on this one.) But yes, it is certainly a possibility that it helped, especially if it feels as if it did.
Best,
Jess

| My behaviour was typical of a hungover...
I had a bad hangover and then I did Sirshasana (Head stand ) for 10 minutes but I just got into worse hangover..its probably all the alchohol and blood flowing to your brain that got the hangover worse.. |

| Next time you feel like a beer, get yourself dizzy or stay up all night. They create simaler effects. Or just meditate if you're looking for a relaxing effect. I can't say I've ever had a hangover so I don't know. You ask this question like you plan on having one again. My advice is to stop drinking at about 2 or 3 drinks. |
