I want to start doing Yoga but I don't want to take a class, can I just get a tape at Walmart? But will I get the full effect of Yoga that way?

Hi Kris,
Video tapes and DVD's are a great way to try yoga and to get a feeling for the type to yoga that suits your needs. It is also gives you the flexibility to maintain a yoga practice in the privacy of your own home and at times when you cannot make it to a class.

For feedback on your technique or to ensure you are in poses correctly try a class or seek the advice of an experienced teacher.

There is a wide variety of yoga video products that focus on different types of yoga (power, pilates, Kripalu....) and different levels of experience. At Yoga.com we have an extensive selection of products to choose from. Take a look and if you have any questions send us an e-mail.
