Subject: Back Injury - Rehab

I have a back injury. Lower (S1, L5, L4). My PT doc said no walking more that 6 blocks, no lifing weights. I was a gym rat - until the injury - going on 2 months. I have not performed yoga before. Nervous about getting more injured by unqualified (in dealing with my back issues)instructor. I'd rather do a class. Milwaukee area. If anyone has any recommendations, please email me.

Hi,

I also have back problems. (fully radially herniated discs at L4/L5 and L5/S1). I can tell you for a fact that yoga has helped me feel better.

I suggest you look at yoga.com's yoga studio directory and see what studios are available in your area. If you can't find a studio in your area, check back soon, as the listing gets updated very frequently.

best,

Philippe
