My mom is suffering with more than 10 lbs of extra fluid. What asanas can be done to natuarally help relieve this water retention. (She already has an appointment with a doctor to rule out any heart or other problems.)

hello I do not know what is good for water retention but Baddhakonasana and Shalahasana The Locust are good yogic posture for the healthy functioning of the bladder. Nettle tea is also very good as iacts as a diuretic along with cucumber juice. Asparagus is a good food to clean bladder. It is also important for your mother to reduce her intake of salt and drink plenty of fluids to flush the bladder out.

I hope your mother is able to solve it.
Best Wishes.

If your mother is a disciplined person, she should

a) fast without any food, and sipping only minimum water when must.
b) take lot of rest
c) She will urinate a lot, no doubt.
d) And keep herself happy.
e) also, possibly perform inverted poses such as Vipareetakarani. with Support if she is heavy.
f) NOT exercise a lot, may be slow and long walks in the mild rays of sun, with not many clothes.

Best Luck,
