The working principle of the gear pump: 1. The gear pump delivers liquid by relying on the volume change of the working space caused by the meshing process of the gears.
Working principle II of gear pump: the working space is composed of the pump body, pump cover and the grooves between the teeth of the gear, and the meshing gear teeth divide this space into the suction chamber and the discharge chamber. When a pair of gears rotate, the gear teeth located in the suction chamber gradually withdraw from engagement, so that the volume of the suction chamber gradually increases and the pressure decreases. The liquid enters the suction chamber along the suction pipe until it fills the entire tooth space.

At this time, a negative pressure area is formed in the enclosed space, and the liquid at the pump inlet is pressed to the pump suction under the action of atmospheric pressure.
