Today Sony ran down the PS Plus offering for next month.The first free game is Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for PS4. Guacamelee! is a 2D "Metroidvania" adventure with artwork inspired by Mexican folklore. The Final Fantasy XIV player learns a series of luchador attacks that they'll utilize in both combat and platforming. For example, you might use an upper-cut and dash combo to cross a chasm.Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition features a number of features not seen in the original release. These enhancements include a new class of enemies, abilities and boss fight. Final Fantasy XIV players can test their skills in a series of updated challenges along with two new levels.The other PS4-only freebie in the May PS Plus collection is first-person adventure Ether One. The Final Fantasy XIV player uses the touchscreen to remove obstacles from the girl's path and lead her forward. The rear touchpad can also be utilized to alter the world's atmosphere.The final three PS Plus Final Fantasy XIV games for May are available across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. In The Unfinished Swan, Final Fantasy XIV players explore a colorless world in search of a missing swan. They use paint to add detail to the environment and help them follow the swan.Hohokum FF14 Gil is even more experimental. The Final Fantasy XIV player is a serpent that glides through surreal worlds and solve puzzles. There are no explicit tutorials so it's up to the Final Fantasy XIV player to explore the environment and figure out the rules of each world and its puzzles.In Race the Sun, Final Fantasy XIV players control a spaceship driving through a landscape of procedurally generated obstacles. They keep flying until they hit one of these hazards or the sun sets. Power-ups seeded throughout the level make it easier for Final Fantasy XIV players to keep racing the sun. By completing missions through their career, Final Fantasy XIV players will earn special abilities and bonuses.
