Hi everybody,

I was wondering, does anyone know why is it important to stretch the quadriceps before doing hip openers?
Why is it for instance not as important to stretch the adductors or abductors or the external rotators?

Thank you very much for your time and effort

All the best

Hi,
Who told you you had to?

The quads include some hip flexor muscle(the psoas,a hip flexor, may also get stretched during some quad stretches).....these need stretching as well as the ab/adductors......none are more important than the other.........probably need to do more stretching with which ever group has the more tightness.

This is to prepare the muscles to avoid injuries.
