Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried doing two classes in a row. The idea has always appealed to me as a boost for your practice.

Opinions!

I have seen people do it, I haven't. I don't know if I could handle it. Mind you, I've only been at this for 4 or 5 weeks.

There's fairly young guy where I do Bikram who frequently does back to back classes--he's a professional dancer. I've never tried it and don't really know why anybody would want to--3 hours of somebody "screeching" in my ear...

I'm sure it would feel great when you're done (with class number 2!!!), but I think I'd need to be drugged to be able to handle that! I am usually ready to hit the road as soon as we get to the last breathing exercises. I know people do it though. People at my studio do twice a day sometimes (morning and night).

BTW - Wulfier great avatar!

I've done two Bikram classes in one day several times,
morning & afternoon, but never back-to-back classes.
The am & pm version is fine...I was always very loose
for the second class. Bikram instructors all had to do
9 weeks of twice daily practice during their teacher training
programs.

I've done person practices running 3 or more hours quite often,
but that's different since I'm in total control of the pace.

In normal yoga I'm always disappointed when we reach the relaxation phase, feeling like we've just started and getting warm slowly. For me it could go on for one more hour at least. But Bikram is a different story with all the heat and that sweat. I was always happy to finally be able to leave the sauna and hit the shower.
