i've been doing bikram for almost 4 weeks now and too begin with my skin looked fantastic (after it had returned to its normal colour) and was really bright and clear and spot free

over the last few days i've had really tired, grey, dehydrated skin and have now started to develop little whiteheads (not loads) and a really tiny patch of bumpy skin by my nose. i'm drinking enough water but look terrible

i know my body is detoxing itself but i guess i just need a little reassurance that this is normal and that it will get better. i don't wear make up during class and as i live 5 mins form the class i go straight home and shower

any advice would be great

if you have NO OTHER symptoms or effects- and you are not on any MEDS sounds like you just might need to exfoliate.

a loofah or some sea salt mixed in your hand with some nice dr. bronners soap diluted well or a rough wash cloth ought to fix you right up. remember- the liver's functions show up pretty quickly on the skin. it may be the liver detox with all the squeezing and of course pimples are a classic "better out than in" symptom.

i have read the other thread and think its just a matter of time. i do exfoliate but proably not as often as i should so i 'll give that a go tonight when i get back and drink even more water

ok - just to cover the other side of things, read the posts under "Dangers of drinking too much water". Chances are this may not be it, but it can't hurt to be aware that overhydrating can create issues too.
