Subject: help the gas


Sometimes when i am in deep relaxation i tend to let out gas... i was wondering if this is a normal thing for me to do?

For you to do? Who knows!? Ask someone you sleep with if you normally do this when you sleep. Or do you notice a definite change in a partner's interest once you've spent the night together?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

You're definitely relaxing in Svanasana, I can tell you that! How funny and inconvenient, though. Most people have this happen in a forward bend or twist.

If it's happening, it's normal. If you're not doing it on purpose, it's normal. For you.
If you're asking what to do about it? Change your diet and do a lot of Supta Virasana, Apanasana, and seated twists about 30 minutes to an hour after you eat.
There's no guarantee, though. The body does with food what it wants.
