hi everyone

i'm a newbie to the forum and to yoga too.

i haven't actually started practicing yoga and i am considering to try it. i wanted to learn more about it which is why i came here to learn from people's experiences from doing yoga.

the only time that i have tried yoga is from a wii fit game. i tried doing a few poses just so i can play all the games included in the cd. while doing yoga from the game, i felt that i was starting to sweat and man were the poses hard! well, some of them i can handle but the others require good balance which i believe i don't have

i hope i could learn a lot from this forum and of course from the members

Hello, welcome..
Start your class once or twice a week with a yoga teacher. It is very important to learn the safe way to get into the poses and come back. Then the poses would be easier and you really you can enjoy doing them...
I wish you all the best..

Yoga can help with posture issues and some other things as well, but as Yogacharyatonmoy says, please do take your first classes with a qualified yoga teacher rather than the Wii. It's important to learn the alignment and begin your training with good habits. Then as you advance, you will lessen the chance of injury and pain.

Namaste.
