| I'm going to New York next week and wanted to check out a few of the studios.
Are there any studios or teachers in particular that you all recommend I try to take? It's hard to go by yelp reviews/ratings because they are filled with students who have not done Bikram before and don't like the heat and smell.
I pretty much practice everyday and I wanted to take advantage of being in the city. |

| I hear great things about Lower East Side! Check out their website. It's really fun, creative funky vibe. Something a little bit different, and... pink?
Bikram Yoga Manhattan is also supposed to be wonderful. Doing it by the book and doing it really well. They have a few locations and I have a couple friends who started their practice there. The owner, Rafael, is awesome and will kick your butt. |

| Bikram Yoga Manhattan ALL THE WAY. I started practicing their two years ago, and it's the best. The teachers are the best in NYC (and probably the world!). Raffael is crazy good. |

| I actually started my Bikram practice when I lived in New York. It was on 72nd St. on the upper westside. A lady told me oh you won't like this studio, it has bad karma, but she was wrong. The teachers were so friendly and supportive and I was a big, heavy guy. Because of the attitude at that studio, I continued my practice when I moved away and am now in the best shape of my life. Besides, they have more classes than any studio I've ever been to. |
