| Sometimes, when I meditate, I start to feel like I'm not here anymore. Do any of you feel this way too? It's a whole new level of relaxation! |

| Yeah, sometimes I feel like the room has gotten really really big, or I'm falling. Very odd. I think this probably qualifies as a distraction, can't remember the exact technical term for it. |

| Dear wearthecaprio:
If you consistently feel that and then feel relaxed and good later regularly, you are really doing good. Keep it up. You are practicing meditation for relaxation, and you do not need others ideas to be mixed into yours. You are already doing good if what I wrote in the sentence one is what is happening.

| Thanks. Yes, you're right. I feel as if I've been doing this forever, I feel as if I'm very good at it. |

| You are very lucky. Now, do not mess it up with addition of other things into it without necessity. When you do this for a prolonged time, say 1 year, then you might go for addition. And, until then, do not also go on spreading it to others.
Best Wishes

| OTOH, sometimes it's reassuring to ask other people about these sorts of things. That way you can make sure you're not crazy, or at least that there are other people with similar delusions. |

Neelbhai is right, these things should not be discussed with anyone or talked about as doing so robs you of the experience that only you can have...no one else. After that, then everybody starts having delusions, |

| Cyndi - 2005-11-02 3:54 PMGJ, the only time it becomes a delusion is when you become attached to it...regardless of what the experience is. I agree. I guess what I was trying to express was that it's important to not get too caught up in what's going on. Also that there appears to be some external validity to it, since people seem to describe similar experiences, but that in itself is not guaranteed proof of anything.
Neelbhai is right, these things should not be discussed with anyone or talked about as doing so robs you of the experience that only you can have...no one else.
While I agree with the sentiment, I think it's fine to discuss these sorts of things with certain people. You do want to be fairly select in what you talk about, and with whom, but I don't think it's right to never discuss it.
It can be a very intimate experience, and you should only share it with people you feel comfortable sharing those sorts of experiences with. I personally try to avoid talking about it with anybody outside of my meditation circle, and the people on this site.
