my Mom gives me all these magazines that the Doctor's office that she works at get's for free, they are like Cosmopolitan for Men--Have you seen these?

Mom gives the girl versions to my wife

I think they're funny, but what's funnier is my Mom is giving me these mags that have articles about sex, LOL.

it's funny.

Maxim and FHM are the ones that stand out in my mind.

Sex sells (sorry for talking about sex again - is it a full moon or something?)

Now there's womens' magazines geared specifically for buying stuff. Yuck!

The best magazine (IMHO) is The Economist. No fashion or sex, just really well written articles. I can never finish a whole issue because they use really big words and it takes me a long time to look them up in the dictionary.

I've read a number of articles by them on the web. I used to love reading "The economy you just work up to". Lots of good, level headed stuff.

One of those (maybe Men's Health - DH buys them rarely) had a great article about a guy who used all the steroids and stuff that pro athletes *claim* not to use. It was fascinating! The guy was a middle aged weekend warrior athlete type and he felt so good and recovered from workouts really fast. Even his eyesight got better. He said it was hard to give them up. Anyway, that is my full knowledge of the genre.

I've read that article, he went to mexico where all of the steroids are like across the counter medications here
and
he smuggled them back to the USA
he could go to jail if someone pressed charges or investigated

His own MD was involved as well, right? He did tests as they went along as I recall.

Geeze, don't write stuff like that.  If could find a pill to solve my medical problems, I'd sell the family farm.

You didn't say why the guy gave it up.  Why did the guy give it up?
