| Can someone recommend a good book to learn about chakras. I have done some research but would like to get a little deeper in the subject. Most of the books I have found are more like workbooks and for now I just want to learn about the chakras. Thanks, Ash | |

| Hi AshSory,
I would personally recommend 'Kundalini Tantra' by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, a Bihar School of Yoga publication. The exercises contained in the first half of the book(chakra purification) could be learned by a beginner(over eight months they suggest, sequentially) but it's probably not aimed at that kind of readership. It's a practical textbook with practical techniques but it also packs quite a bit of information on the chakras if that is what you're interested in.It is aimed at the long-term yoga practitioner with some experience but it's also an informative book;the last third contains current scientific research relating to chakras, kundalini etc. There are separate chapters at the start discoursing on each of the chakras.
Hope this helps.

| Best Life Media has a few good options by (the often controversial) Ilchi Lee. | |
