Can anyone post the breathing sequence? or does anyone know of a DVD that has it. David Williams taught it at a workshop and stated that "if you want it it is out there". Thanks

Well, I took your word for it, and made a web search [search words: +"pranayama (sequence OR series)" +ashtanga]:

http://www.eso-garden.com/specials/ashtanga_yoga_as_taught.pdf [p. 25-27 of "Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois", by Larry Schultz (1999)]
or
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/26154187/Ashtanga-Yoga-Teacher-Training-Manual/ [p. 30-33 of the same Ashtanga Yoga Manual]
or
http://www.blogcatalog.com/blog/yoga-gurus/5bd35e7cb8cc43d71189e169a6be3a9d

This is of course just a starting point, the basic ujjayi breath, and slowly/increasingly adding kumbhaka (retention, holding the breath) according to your ability, to the end of exhale and inhale respectively.

And if you wish to learn more of the Ashtanga pranayama sequence, I suggest you learn it from a certified (by SKPJ) senior Ashtanga teacher, or at least someone experienced enough to teach it properly.

I don't know of any dvd:s that has it, but there are a few cd:s that have pranayama - though I'm not sure how closely they follow the sequence as taught by Pattabhi Jois. Have a look at http://www.ashtanga.com/html/action.lasso?-database=ygpricelist.fm&-layout=w&-response=sc_category.html&category=CD&-search&-sortField=t1
... cd:s by Derek Ireland, Michael Gannon, and Richard Freeman.
