Have you seen the photo of her holding a machine gun by the side of a swimming pool, in a star spangled bikini? Makes even Cheney look good.

Location: Somewhere in the Mountains of Western NC | I watched her speech the other night, just out of curiousity....she's scares the hell out of me. And believe me, it takes a lot to scare me,
Anyway, the next night before McCain's speech, they did this video tribute to her....holding a DEAD moose.

| There is an Alaskan on another board I'm on and they apparently call her Sara Barracuda. That's all I know about her. |

| Just received the following article from one of my cat e-pals :
http://www.laprogressive.com/2008/09/05/alaskans-speak-in-a-frightened-whisper-palin-is-
It took ages to open on my PC but it was worth it.
My Canadian pal verifies some of the content as matching Canadian views of the woman so I don't think it's all flight of fantasy as suggested by some of the blog comments at the bottom.

BB, I'm afraid your gonna have to bring out the heavy artillary(sp? Big guns!!). The only way we can stop this Witch is with our voting power...God help us all....if she gets elected we'll surely be doomed to the bottomless pits of hell, |

The bikini and machine gun photo however, is, sadly, a fake (if anybody didn't already know that). |

|
| ah yes, politics.
Neither party choice for candidates are good, they are all corporate puppets.
Write your own name in for president and you might get a thank you letter, at least that way you have something to show for your exercising your rights.
As the USA makes the slide into inflationary depression/corporate socialism/outright corporate fascism it would make me feel great to exercise my right to vote, until I realized
"if voting really changed anything, they would have made it illegal"
So, good luck and
vote
SCThornley (or "insert your name here") for President |

| I watched the DNC and all the speeches
I watched the RNC and all the speeches
I wanted to believe the rhetoric, but something called common sense and some lessons that history have proved true have left me feeling that things aren't going to get better because one or the other party or any party will be in power.
You know, the Democrats won both houses of congress on the platform of ending the war and getting rid of corruption.........yeah, well.....
and a while back the Republicans won all of Congress on a platform of smaller government......yeah, well..............
They both lie, they always lie, they always promote some sort of populist rhetoric then come to power and pander to the corporate interests as if those 'legal entities' have more rights than the individual citizens of our Nation.
I want to believe that the Bill of Rights and Constitution are still the basis for our Nation, unfortunately we all know that they have turned out to be fairy tales in the hands of our courts, legislative, and executive branches.
Take the time to read our Nation's documents and you'll soon come to realize how far we've strayed as a free people.
Something like...............
"He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither."<--Benjamin Franklin
and
"There never was a good war or a bad peace."
Just who are we as a Nation?
We're making history, yes, but how will it be read one hundred years from now?

| Not a big fan of the McCain + Palin ticket. Unfortunately Steve's about half right, we don't have a lot of power at the polls.
However, never underestimate people in numbers, and never underestimate the power of voting with the one thing you CAN control, your wallet. If you don't like how company X operates, DON'T buy stuff from them. |
|
|
|
| The international bankers that control the value of what is in your wallet don't care what you spend it on, they already own everything from what you can choose.
The game has already been won, it's over, folks just don't seem to realize it.
When foreign parties control the value of your monetary system, and that's the way it is in the proud USA, you have lost your freedom. All the politicians have been bought off for generations, we haven't had an independent leader with the interests of the the United States American citizen as primary interest in at least a generation, and he was shot dead, just like all before him.
Game over, forget about it, the foreign master is in charge and you don't even realize it. |

| While America and everyone else gets all in a lather about congressional bail-outs of Wall Street failures, cartoonist Scott Adams and his creation Dilbert, are sitting back with their feet up, safe in the knowledge that they saw it all coming in 2002...
.... Oh joy, now the site's erroring over adding attachments as well as on trying to embed URLs......
Please take mercy and sort this out someone, please!

Location: Somewhere in the Mountains of Western NC | I wish they would quit making the tax payers pay for all their screw ups!!! I am totally against this bailout/rescue plan. It's BS. I say let the chips fall where they may, it will sort itself out. Human intervention is only going to make matters worse.
Oh well...I can't wait till Thursday night. I'm going to pop corn, sit back with a beer and laugh the night away for the comedy hour, or is it the dem/rep dog and pony show, LOL!! |
