| Greetings everyone. It's great to be here, I just joined and only started doing yoga a month ago. It's been a transformational experience and as I am in the process of rehabbing my chronically tight lower back from old hamstring injuries (over 20 years ago) I am watching my growing pains wisely and adjusting as necessary. I am a professional massage therapist for 11 years so have pretty good knowledge of anatomy. What my problem is that about 2 classes ago, just as class finished, and I was fine the whole time, my hip joint and tendonous attachments there began to ache and had to walk with a limp all evening. It was much better the next day and doesn't bother me in class since except for afterwards. It is most painful when I sit in indian pose but if ease in gently it subsides. I'm not sure if I should let it rest, for how long or just favor it in class. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. | |

| Rest with complete Fast for a week. | |

| Is it all external rotation that bothers that hip? I would imagine after 11 years as an LMT you have a variety of muscle testing you can do for self-diagnosis, no?
Can you briefly outline the class, poses, and sequence when the injury was sustained?
