| Hello...I'm fairly new to yoga and I absolutely love how it makes me feel. I read an article stating that many postures can be potentially dangerous if done during menstration as it can block blood flow and cause problems....but I hate skipping a week of yoga just because of my period....does anybody have any suggestions as to a series of postures that are deemed "menstration safe"??? Thanks in advance... ![](http://yogisource.com:81/forums/images/emoticons/veryhappy.gif) | |

| Welcome Brenda - there is a good series here:

I also suggest Patricia Walden and Linda Sparrowe's book of yoga for women and do a search of the forums as well. We have had many good discussions about this issue here ![](http://yogisource.com:81/forums/images/emoticons/veryhappy.gif) | |
