Subject: Sun Salutations


I heard that it is not good for a woman to do sun salutations while she is menstrating. Is this true. If it is, why? And more generally, is it bad to do yoga in general while menstrating?

Good morning,try Yoga Practice Appropriate For women.Avoid all inversions and strenuous postures.try some of these postures to relieve stress and uncomfortable symtoms.Upavistha Konasana-sitting upright with support of wall..legs open and grounded..breath.5-minutes..Baddha Konasana-sitting upright with wall or without.Supta Baddha Konasana,with belt around sacrum and feet ....5min.Janusirsasana with support for each side.2-3 min......Upavistha konasana foward, with support 2-3 min.......Arda Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana 2-3 min on each side.......Savasana 10 min.......If you need a more detailed instruction for these asana's (postures)I would be happy to help.....Namaste...Peace, Love ,and Light . dor
